Richard Pedro Valdivia (Chory), passed away on October 31, 2018 at his home in Beaumont. He survived by his wife Nannette of fifty five years, daughter Marisa Sanchez, daughter Selina Aguirre, son Gregory Valdivia, nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. He was the twelfth born of fifteen children. He met his wife Nannette in Banning in February 1963, married April of 1964, and raised there children in Beaumont. He worked for Caltrans for thirty three years and retired in 2001. He was a devoted Catholic, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. When he was younger he enjoyed hiking with his family, going on bike rides, camping, listening to records, and cruising on the weekends. He loved sports, and watching his teams Dodgers, Lakers, Rams, and USC football. His many hobbies were reading the newspaper, crossword puzzles, reading books, watching movies and TV shows. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Toribio and Guadalupe; sister Margaret and brothers Arther, Joseph, Placidio, and Salvador Sr.
