With great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude of a remarkable life Robert W Chambers’ family announces the passing of the kind, brave, caring and unimaginably generous son, brother, husband, animal guardian, and uncle.
Robert W Chambers was born in 1947 in Pennsylvania. Bob was the second son, and the middle of three brothers.
Growing up Bob was a hardworking young man, with an infectious smile, gentle presence and a do whatever it takes aptitude for whatever he took on in life.
He proudly enlisted in the US Air Force and served his country in the Vietnam War.
After retiring from his military service, his endeavors included ventures in real estate and property management, horse training and racing and professional commercial painting. Some of his proudest moments included winning world renowned horse races.
But his greatest joy and love of all was spending time in nature with Pam, his family and many loved animals, especially his dogs over the years.
The ultimate sacrifice, as a result of many years of chemical exposures throughout his years of service; Bob faced many battles with cancers. He squared off to every challenge bravely, meeting the circumstances head on with a positive attitude.
A man that lived and encouraged others to be the captain of their own ship, he surrendered peacefully in his own home in Indio, California on March 22, 2024.
Bob is survived and will be deeply missed by, wife, Pam and dog Kobe Bryant Chambers and his older brother John Chambers.
Please remember Bob when you are relaxing in the warm shade with your family, remember him when you feel the wind blow gently, or see a ray of sun shines brightly, a sparkle on a still lake, or when a dog drops a ball on your lap to throw. These are the simple moments in life that often brought a smile to Bob’s face and a part of his legacy and personal motto, live and let live.
