Bob was born on August 25, 1957, in Los Angeles, California, and was raised in San Bernardino. He grew into a man who found his greatest peace in the natural world. He was most at home in the quiet of the desert or among the trees of the mountains. An avid nature lover, he shared that passion generously with those around him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Giles (Shoemaker); his father, Lee Jordan; his stepfather, Chuck Giles; and his older brother, Rocke Jordan.
Bob is survived by his four children: Chris Jordan; Michael Jordan and his wife Lindsay; Keri Jordan and her partner Caroline; and Kyle Jordan and his partner Lindsay.
He also leaves behind his sister, Rochelle Groveau; his nephew Chad Groveau; his niece Chelsea Stephens; his aunt, Hobraigh Kozlow; and his grandchildren: Jonathan Buran-Jordan, Makayla Jordan, Emma Jordan, and Isaiah Jordan.
He left this earth a dependable man of few words and quiet integrity. Bob’s strength of character was felt deeply by his family, friends, and the spaniels he adored. His reliability, dry wit, and signature chuckle will be forever missed by all who knew him. His love of nature and the desert lives on in his children and in everyone fortunate enough to have shared a campsite with him.
He selflessly devoted the last 20 years of his life to the dignified, impeccable, and compassionate caregiving he provided for his stepfather and his mother in their later years. His dedication to them was always his first and foremost priority despite the many silent battles he faced with his own significant health problems and chronic pain.
In keeping with his no-nonsense personality, Bob was cremated at Weaver Mortuary, and requested that no services be held. His family graciously accepts kind words, shared memories, thoughts, and prayers during this difficult time.
