

Age 83, He was born in Wynette, Oklahoma on April 15, 1934 and passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2018. He is survived by his wife Liz (Isbell) Thompson of 30 years, seven children, Bill (Carla) Thompson, Debbie (Raymond) Pickering, Terri Thompson, Randy Thompson, Rick (Kathy) Thompson, two step-children Kathryn (David) Bergfalk and Charles Isbell. Thirteen grandchildren, Matt (Natalie) Pickering, Sean (Jaclyn) Pickering, Sky Thompson, Shea (Nikki) Thompson, Seth Thompson, Justin Thompson, Jordyn Thompson, Cameron Thompson, Ariael Thompson, Isabella Bergfalk, Annika Bergfalk, Levi Isbell and Luke Isbell; seven great-grandchildren, Mason Thompson, Harmony Thompson, Brady Pickering, Cole Pickering, Logan Pickering, Jagger Pickering and Memphis Pickering. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan and his parents, Leona and Bill Sower.
After graduating from Hemet High School, he worked in the water industry and retired in 1990 as the General Manager (CEO) of Monte Vista Water District. He enjoyed coaching basketball, little league and pony league baseball and belonged to many service clubs, primarily the Kiwanis. He was a member of the Inland Empire Corvette Club and Tukwet Country Club, where you could find him playing golf 3 or 4 days a week. Bob enjoyed a variety of sports as an adult, basketball and fast pitch softball (was a founding member of the Hemet league). He loved sailing, both pleasure and competitive. One of his passions was traveling and playing golf wherever possible.
Bob was one of “The Magnificent Seven” a group of his closest friends from childhood who united on a regular basis.
Most of all, he loved his family and friends. Bob was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by everyone who had the opportunity of knowing him.
