After marrying at the young age of 20, she came to the United States from Juarez, Mexico and settled down in Beaumont, CA. where she started her family. She had six children, four sons and two daughters. Later in life, she would welcome 17 grandchildren to the family. She considered her main occupation a “domestic engineer” as she would so lovingly say.
She lived a life of strong faith in Jesus Christ and imparted her wisdom to her kids and grandchildren based on Catholic teachings.
She taught herself English and attended night school to further her speaking and writing skills. Unknown to many, she also became a U.S. citizen all on her own.
She loved to garden, lived her life according to her strong faith, and had an unshakeable strength.
She would have celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary this month.
