From the bottom of our heart, we thank you for joining us to remember our son, brother, nephew, grandson, and dearly beloved Steven. Steven lived quite a life, and it is up to all of us to carry on the wonderful memory that was his life. Steven Bond ll was born December 11, 1986 in Los Angeles, Ca. For the first seven years of his life, it was him and his loving mother Susana against the world. It was in these times that they spawned some of their favorite memories as mother and son. Whether it was the countless hours they’d spend at the park or all the misadventures with his cousins in which they’d get in trouble with their grandma. When his brothers Kevin, Niko, and Noah came along, he stepped up to his role as an older brother and gave them all lasting memories to forever carry on, whether it was playing basketball with Kevin, cooking a meal with Niko, or spending time coloring and drawing with Noah. When the time came and he met the love of his life Jillian, he took all the life lessons he learned being an older brother and son and had some of the most fun memories with Jillian. How they loved to go out to eat, constantly pushing their comfort zones and trying new foods and testing their spice tolerances.
Steven was a man of many hobbies. As a young man, Steven spent several years of his adolescence playing for the Duarte Bowling team, as well as his school basketball team. He was an AMAZING singer, even if he rarely showed it off. Kevin describes fun times singing karaoke with Steven and always losing to Steven’s perfect 100. And let’s not forget about his motorcycle phase! He scared his mother and stepfather when he came home one day with a Honda, ready to take on the road and save that gas money. He was an avid rider for a few years and was one of his favorite things to talk about with his brother Niko. Most of all, however, Steven was a foodie through and through. With the time he spent working in the restaurant industry, his knowledge of food and drinks as well as food culture shined through his own cooking and his ability to name the best taco and Thai restaurants in any given area. Him and Jilian bonded over their shared love of Thai food and were always on the lookout for new flavors wherever they went. He made an excellent curry and fried fish dish that his family and friends who had the pleasure of trying it will surely miss. His brother Niko relates some of his most fond memories with Steven were starting up a wood fire in their backyard and spending several hours outside cooking and laughing.
Steven was one of the hardest-working people many of us had ever met. He had begun a career in the restaurant industry at the age of sixteen and was always known for his grind mentality. Later in his years, he found success with crypto. Despite this, he always made time to reach out to his family. His aunt and grandma relate how much he enjoyed coming up to their beautiful home in Lake Arrowhead to destress and spend time with them, enjoying their time together eating and cooking.
Steven will be missed beyond all belief. He had a wonderful life with his beloved Jilian planned ahead, having started a plan to take a trip out of the country not too long ago. Anyone who knew Steven knew that, while a private person, was a very deep, emotional and loving person. He loved his family, putting more emphasis over these last few years to spend more time with them and prioritizing his loved ones first in his life. We all look forward to the day we may see him again. Until then, may he rest easy.
A viewing for Steven will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Ave, Beaumont, California 92223, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
