Thomas Howell was always so kind and helpful. My friend from school Karen was his daughter and she always invited me over to the house. I loved being over there and it was so clean and peaceful. I never felt unwelcome at his home. I know as teenagers Karen and I probably drive him and her mom crazy, yet he always made you feel you were apart of the family. He never said an unkind thing and he was always positive. He than later married my mom’s best friend Jo and I was so excited about it. You loved him from the start. He will be truly missed by many. I miss you both and can’t believe you are gone. Can’t wait to see you and Miss Jo in heaven...

Tom and I worked together at Deutsch during his time there. He was my boss for several years. What I remember most about Tom was that he was a real “southern gentleman.” While we didn’t always agree on things, I respected him and his views. Tom liked things “calm” and hated when the boat was rocked.
I was so sorry to hear of his passing. I always figured with his disposition he would be around until he was 100. I will be out of town when his services are held, and want to wish his family my condolences . He will be missed.

Met Tom at Deutsch. Didn't know right away but he was the dad of a friend I went to school with, Karen. Tom and I worked together for many years. When I had some 'live' troubles, he even drove me to and from work. I am very saddened that I won't see him around town. He meant a great deal to me. I remember on one trip to work, I was telling him about my dad being in movies, as a child, and some of the titles. He told me how, in one of the movies, a swamp scene scared him as a child. He was a good person. My prayers to the family and loved ones.
