Bill and I served in Germany together when we were both young and appreciated all that Europe could offer.  In Bill's case that was Ingrid.  I've never seen anyone happier than Bill when he was dating her, culminating in their marriage with a love that continued to grow and was very apparent throughout their lives.  It is a very special, undying love that is still comforting Ingrid today and will always embrace and comfort her. I'll always remember how happy they both were on their wedding day, a match truly made in Heaven.
Bill was a very special person, witty, intelligent, patriotic and solid as a rock.  Our friendship, which began in those heady days of youth, continued to this day and Bill will continue to live on in my heart and in the hearts of all who truly knew him.
Godspeed my dear friend.  Well done, be thou at peace.

Jeff & I are sending much love to you all.  Bill was a patriot and one who knew the joy of the Lord deep in his heart.  I loved how much he loved this nation and whenever times seemed dark, he always had a word.  I was missing his emails last month and knew he was now in his "real home"..  Praising our Lord & Savior.

Dear Ingrid and family, Marianne and I are deeply saddened by the loss of Bill. It was always a thrill to see him at family get-togethers and celebrations. We will always remember him for his patriot spirit and love of family and country. Please know we are always here to support you.

Ingrid, we just found out about Bill's passing. Carolyn and I send our prayers to you and your family. We remember the parties and gatherings at your home in Rancho with warm thoughts. Bill was always a  fun person to be with. We wish you the best in your time of sorrow, and we love you as we have always loved Bill.

Bill and I were roommates in 1967-68 when we both were stationed in Germany. He was a good friend and a great guy to be around. We both loved tooling around the Eifel mountains in our sports cars and especially driving the "high road" to Bitburg.  We also loved hanging around the Pruem Officers Club and having one of Herr Schroeder's fantastic steaks along with a good Bitburger Pils.  We were a couple of young guys having a good time while serving our country in Germany. Many happy memories.  Rest in Peace my friend.
