Born in 1925 in Kentucky, she grew up on a farm with her three of five siblings. She learned at an early age the value of hard work and family. After a failed marriage in 1948, she found herself left to raise their young sons alone and she devoted the rest of her life raising her sons with a strong work ethic and good moral values. She was proud that all her sons were in the military. For many years, she was the Principals Secretary at Katella High School, Anaheim School District. She loved dancing, quilting and sewing. She enjoyed traveling and camping in their travel trailer with her late husband "Arnold Bill Capps. She was a beautiful lady, smart and loving to all. She was special and will be missed by all.
Wilma is survived by her sons Walter Buie (Judy), Michael Buie (Donita), her sister Nola Burke, brother Kenneth Walker, her grandchildren Kristen Allison, Gregory Buie, her great grandchildren London Allison, Cade Allison and her nephew Douglas Scott (Kay Scott).
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Bill Capps, her son Charles Larry Buie, her father West Bailey Walker, her mother Lillian May Walker, her brother Wallace Walker, her sisters Shirley Bingham and Carolyn Scott.
A graveside service for Wilma will be held Monday, December 4, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, California 92518.
