Adrian Thomas

Adrian worked over 40 years as a coal miner, working in mines in Raleigh, Wyoming and Boone Counties. He was of the Baptist faith. Some of his favorite things were woodworking, fishing, riding his motorcycle, telling jokes and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Adrian Dean Thomas Jr., his daughter Tonya Akers, and his brother Darwin Lee Thomas.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Tammy, daughter Angela Graham and husband Matt of Daniels, sons Eric Shrewsbury and wife Jamie of Daniels, and Ryan Shrewsbury and wife Kelli of Prosperity; a sister, Karen Teston of Beckley; brothers Roger D. Thomas and wife Ruth of Marion IL; Arlie W. Thomas of Beckley, Farrell R Thomas of Grayling MI; Fred S. Thomas and wife Patricia of Crab Orchard, and Gary W. Thomas and wife Sherri of Mount Hope; sisters in law Dorothy Thomas of Boston, MA, and Carolyn McDonnell of Beckley; grandchildren Chelsey and husband Chris, Jacob, Josh, Austin, Andrew, Leigha, Ethan, Colton, Blake, Justin, Madison, Jacie, Jaxon, Bella, Addison and Jemma; as well as three great grandchildren, Bennett, Riley and Ryatt. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews making him a great-great uncle. He also leaves behind numerous extended family and friends. Adrian was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Adrian's life will be held at 12:00 pm at Cranberry Baptist Church 201 Cranberry Drive Beckley, at 12:00 pm on Thursday June 5, 2025. Friends are welcome to begin gathering at 11:30.
