Annie graduated from Sophia High School class of 1955. She worked as a Nursing Aide at Raleigh General Hospital and a greeter for Walmart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Melvina Pegram; her first husband, Dorsey Shrewsbury and second husband, Vernon (PeeWee) Carpenter; and her brother, Pete (Dorothy) Pegram.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Robin (Steve) George of Beckley, WV, Melody (Randy) Hood of Nashville, TN; grandson, David (Sharon) Greene of Lebanon, TN; and her little furry friend, LuLu.
Funeral service will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 2 pm. Friends may gather with the family from 1-2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations of sympathy be made to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St., Nashville, TN 37203.
