BLUE RIDGE FUNERAL HOME BECKLEY, WV Bessie Marie Martin Bessie Marie Martin, 94, Beaver, went home to be with the Lord, and was reunited with her husband Rudy, on August 16, 2014. Born August 14, 1920 in Beaver, WV, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Rosetta Lilly. Ms. Martin Enjoyed spending time with her family, decorating cakes, volunteering with church organizations, and caring for her garden. She was a member of Grandview Christian Church on Table Rock Road. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Grady “Rudy” Martin, son Kevin Martin, granddaughter Rebecca Harrah, she was the last of eleven children. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Kay Ellison and husband Pete, Vivian Miller and husband Steve, Janet Noel and husband Doug, and Shirley Swanger; sons Robert Greer and wife Debbie, and David Green and wife Rene, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her caregiver Patty Radford. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Bessie Martin will be held at 5:00 PM Monday, August 18, 2014 at Grandview Christian Church on Table Rock Road with Pastors Russ Jordan, Oscar Schwitzerlette, and Jordan Legg officiating.
