Beverly Sandra Toney of Piney View, WV, born March 24, 1947, passed away at Bowers Hospice House with her family by her side on October 29, 2026. She was the daughter of the late James R. Smith and Bessie Fox Smith.
Those she leaves behind is her loving husband of 57 years Roger L. Toney Sr, a daughter Regina (Max Pavlik) Toney of Martinsburg, a son Roger Toney Jr. and wife Becky of Piney View, two brothers Danny Smith of Atlanta, Georgia and Jimmie Smith of Loveland, Ohio, ten grandchildren Justin Shrewsbury (Genna) of Prosperity, Tyler Toney (Savanna) of Daniels, Lynsey Shrewsbury of Martinsburg, Jacklyn Whitt (Chris) of Meadow Bridge, Jamie Valluo (Matt) of NY, Taylor Roach and Patrick of Martinsburg, Alex and Hunter Williams of Martinsburg, and 10 apples of her eye great grandchildren that warmed her heart so much, Zemberlyn Whitt, Steele Whitt, Skyler Whitt, Raevyn Toney, Riverleigh Toney, Jonah Shrewsbury, Jessa Strewsbury, Wyatt and Clayton Williams, and Theo Valluo. She leaves behind many friends and family, special cousin Suzanne Shuck from Raleigh County.
Beverly worked as a school cook for 25 years. She loved reading and embroidering, but most of all she enjoyed her family. and we will always hear that voice call, “Y'all come and eat!”
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 2PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, WV. Friends may join the family at 1PM on Tuesday until time of service. Beverly will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
