
“They are not lost who find the light of sun and stars and God” Billy Edward Bailey Billy Edward Bailey, 86, entered the gates of Heaven on Monday July 6, 2015 at Bowers Hospice House following a short illness. Bill was born February 24, 1929 in Baileysville, WV to the late Robert and Maggie Bailey. Bill could accomplish anything he set his mind to. At a very early age he helped his dad build a 21 room home for the Bailey family. He worked many years and retired from Yorktown Naval Weapon Station in Williamsburg, VA. Bill’s greatest past time was working in h is flowers and cooking the most delicious meals that everyone always enjoyed eating. The more he could cook for the happier he was, every meal was cooked with love. Bill served in the US Army and was on the Korean Conflict in 1951-1953 and also served in Germany. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Williamsburg, VA. He was a member of Cornerstone FWB Church, Crab Orchard, WV. Bill is preceded in death by brothers, (Baby), Jr. JC Bailey, Kincel Bailey, Fred Bailey; sisters, Lettie Walls and Marie Stone. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 11 years, Donna Bailey; daughters, Kathy Miller and husband, Marshall of St. Augustine, FL, Kelli James and husband, Ronald of Merritt Island, FL; step-children, Rebecca Ralston and husband, Todd of Bridgeport, WV, Tonya Butner of Beckley, WV, Earl McGhee and wife Julie of N. Augustine, SC; sisters, Opal Roberts of Toms River, NJ, Helen Graham and husband, Bob of Mullens, WV, Janis Butner of Spotsylvania, VA, Freda Billings of Glen White, WV; brother, Jim Bailey and wife Judy of Cleveland, OH; two beautiful granddaughters in which he adored, Kristen Miller of St. Augustine, FL and Kassi Studds of St. Augustine, FL; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gene and Susie Stewart and niece, Melody of Crab Orchard, WV, Jeanie Goodson of Midway, WV; great-niece, Kayleigh (KK) Stewart; a special little angel that Bill dearly loved. She always loved going to Uncle Bill’s and Aunt Donnas to play with Uncle Bill. His love for her was beautiful. Bill will be dearly missed by several nieces, nephews and many friends. Services will be held on Thursday July 9, 2015 at 7:00pm at Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church in Crab Orchard with Rev. Kelly Bowman and Pastor Roger Tolliver officiating. Burial will take place at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Family will serve as pallbearers.. Friends may gather with the family from 5pm until service time Thursday evening at the church. Bills brother and sisters would like to give a special thank you to his wife Donna for being so caring and loving to Bill during his sickness and giving him love and support during the 11 years of their marriage.
