Mr. Carl Eugene Kouns

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles “Ruck” Kouns and Madeline ‘Boots” Kouns.

He leaves behind a loving and devoted wife of 58 years Connie Taylor Kouns, children; Robin Kouns Meadows of Beckley, WV, Brian Scott and his wife Robin of Wake Forest, NC, Barton Shawn Kouns and his wife Brenda of Bunn, NC, six brothers; Russell Kouns and wife Martha, Jerry Kouns and wife Glenna, Kenneth Kouns and wife Emma Jean, William Kouns and wife Carlene, Carroll Kouns and wife Pam, Harold Kouns and wife Ursula, brothers-in-law Tommy Taylor and wife Cheryl, James Taylor and wife Sharon, seven grandchildren; Robert “Brody” Meadows, Jessica Meadows Bennett and husband Timothy, Trina Kouns, Lorena Strayer Holliday and husband Todd, Brandon Strayer and wife Jacqueline, Morgan Kouns Carter and husband Chad, Zakary Kouns and wife Ashley, eleven great-grandchildren; Timothy Jase Bennett, Alanae Jankowski, Ayden Jankowski, Kaylee Strayer, Jayden Steele, Tristan Strayer, Chloe Strayer, Gabrielle Strayer, Nikolas Pierce, Jordan Kelwaski, Jaxson Kouns, and a host of loving nieces nephews along with many great nieces nephews family and friends that will miss him dearly.

Carl was a Deacon and faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Stanaford. Everyone that knew Carl was aware of his love for fishing but only surpassed by the love he had for his family and the Lord. Along with fishing he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home-Beckley on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 3PM. Visitation for family and friends will be two hours prior to service time at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

Grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bowers Hospice House of Beckley, WV.
