Charles Honaker

It is with heavily burdened hearts we announce Charles “Randy” Honaker went to be with his Lord and Savior on 19 May 2025 following a valiant fight with cancer. Born October 28, 1943, in Glen Daniel, he was the son of the late George Honaker Sr. and Rosie Gibson Honaker.

Randy was a Deacon at Fairdale Freewill Baptist Church in Fairdale, WV for nearly 50 years before joining Fairview Christian Community Church in Princeton, WV in 2019.

Regardless of where he was, Randy looked for opportunities to make people laugh, play a prank, talk about West Virginia sports, or fellowship to share his love of Jesus Christ. After being drafted to serve his country in the US Army during Vietnam, Randy met and married his wife Belinda Lou (Alderman). He went to work in the coalfields of West Virginia, and after working a long week in the mines, Randy could catch a fish in a mud hole, work in his garden, help fellow parishioners with odds and ends jobs, or spend time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Randy leaves behind his wife of 57 years Belinda Honaker, as well as his two daughters Tammy Bailey and husband Todd, and Jennifer Wyatt and husband Sean, his son Jeremy and wife Genny, five grandchildren, Thomas, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Avery, and Christiana and one great-granddaughter Everly. He is also survived by his brother Larry "Jackie" Honaker and sisters Peggy Stevenson and Virginia Iber.

Randy impacted and touched the lives of everyone he met. We will miss him more than anything but find peace and solace knowing we will have an opportunity to see him again.

Funeral services will be held on Monday May 26, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 pm until the time of the service.
