Charlotte Darlene McKinney

Charlotte Darlene McKinney, 77 of Beckley, WV passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the Raleigh Center in Daniels. Born on May 19, 1943 in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Lawrence Holdren and Ethel Irene Gore Holdren.

Charlotte was a good Christian woman who loved The Lord. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who always expressed compassion towards her family. She has a passion for the ocean and loved Virginia Beach.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Herbert P. McKinney, Sr.; her daughter, Stacey McKinney; sisters, Carol Austin and her husband, Elmer, and Ronnie Dillard; brothers, David Holdren and Johnny Holdren; brother-in-law, Coy McKinney Jr.; sisters-in-law, Edith Pennington and Valerie Hale; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Hale.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Randall McKinney Sr. and wife, Carol of Shady Spring, WV, Herbert McKinney Jr. and wife, Kelli of NC, and Shane McKinney of Beckley, WV; daughters, Ginger McKinney of WV and Sara McKinney of Roanoke, VA.; sisters-in-law, Debbie Meador and husband, David of MacArthur, WV, Sadie Akers and husband, Clarence of Crab Orchard, WV, Janice McKinney and Brenda Holdren; brother-in-law, Jere; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Committal Service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at 12:00 pm, Friday, November 20, 2020. Honoring Mrs. McKinney as pallbearers will be her family.

In accordance to the current CDC guidelines and the Executive Order by Governor Justice all guests are required to wear facial coverings.
