Chester Lee Mills, Sr., age 57, of Herndon, WV, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Raleigh General Hospital. Born on September 6, 1962 in Mullens, WV, he was the son of the late Clarence Mills and Iris Earlene Walker Mills.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Mills. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Robyn Collins and husband, Johnny of Covell, WV; son, Chester Lee Mills, Jr. and fiancé, Lindsey Hodges of Princeton, WV; grandchildren, Aaron Mills, Amari Mills and Ashton Mills; sister, Jonilee Mills of Huntersville, NC; brothers, Dennis "Dickie" Mills and wife, Karen of Kentucky, Benny R. Mills of Itman, WB, Ricky Mills and wife, Lisa of Princeton, WV and Okey Mills and wife, Amy of Princeton, WV; and many nieces and nephews.
Chester retired after many years from the Water Department for the City of Charlotte, NC. He was an avid basketball and football fan, especially his beloved WVU Mountaineers and Wyoming East Warriors. He was known to have "grilled the best steak" anyone would eat. Chester loved his family and cherished the times he spent with his brother Benny and his grandson Aaron. He could always make one laugh.
