Corrine Cooper

Corrine Cooper, 84, of Beckley, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 15, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Houston and Maggie Woodson Kratz. She was born July 17, 1932 in Milburn, WV. Corrine was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafts and spending time with family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Patsy Sizemore, Shelvy Carpenter and Virginia Woodson. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 62 years, Robert Cooper; sons, Gary Lee Cooper and wife Teresa of Advance NC, Ronnie Dale Cooper and wife Audrey of Princeton; daughter, Reba Cooper Hughes and husband Richard of Prosperity; brother, Hank Woodson and wife Glenda of NC; brother-in-law, Gary Sizemore of Falls View; sister, Nancy Strickland and husband Larry of Falls View; grandchildren, Melody Sansom and husband Scott of Beckley, Kevin Cooper of Princeton, Sabrina Showe and husband Jon of Maryland, Jason Cooper and Rachel Cooper of Advance NC, Kayla Suttle and husband Garret of Beckley, Kelsey Hughes of Prosperity and fiancé Ian Barley and Kourtney Hughes of Prosperity; five great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Friends may gather with the family Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 6-8pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11am, Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Bright officiating. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with family and friends to serve as pallbearers.
