Cynthia Kay Bishop, 66, of Beckley, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Herbert Perdue and Lenora Kagey Perdue. Born April 1, 1950 in Rhodell, West Virginia. Cynthia attended Madeline Freewill Baptist Church and was a bookkeeper/treasurer. She loved her church dearly. She was known to be very giving, enjoyed spending time with her family especially her nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Nicely and her second husband, Noel Bishop and brother Wayne Perdue. Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Charlene (Lyle) Stover of Beckley; brothers, Roger (Wilda) Perdue of Beckley, Dwight (Pam) Perdue of O’Fallon, IL, and Sherman (Shirley) Perdue of Rock Hill, SC; aunt, Viola (James) Perdue Haga of Helen; close cousin, Charles Hornbuckle of Rhodelll; nine nieces and nephews. Friends may gather with the family Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 11am-1pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 1pm, Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Cadle officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.
