Dale Walker

Born on June 3rd, 1945, in Josephine, WV, he was the son of the late Daley and Sylvia Walker.

Dale Walker was a Christian and a member of the Legacy Church in Beckley. He was a graduate of Stoco High School and still made it a point to get together with many of his former classmates as often as possible. He was a loving husband to his late wife, Betty Jewell Walker, and a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family including his two beloved dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jewell Walker, and a sister, Sandra McGrady.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Deeanna Jewell Wright and her husband, Bumper, David Walker and his wife, Melissa, and April Benfield and her husband, Jeff; her grandchildren, Cetera Jewell Sewell and her husband, Adam, Lukas Dale Wright, Daley Walker and his wife, Megan, Dustin Walker, Madison Shrewsbury and her husband, Jacob, Braydon Davis, Annalee Harvey and her husband, David, Braedyn Benfield, Sophie Benfield, and Dawson Walker; his great-grandchildren, Blake Shrewsbury, Daylen Walker, Lilly Harvey, Sloan Jewell Sewell, Isla Elaine Sewell, Stetson Shrewsbury, Emerson Walker and David Harvey III; his sister Gale Gee Johnson as well as many friends and extended relatives.

The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8 pm, Friday November 22nd, 2025, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday November 23rd, 2025, in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastors Kelly Bowman and Derick Lester officiating. Entombment will follow in the Hope Mausoleum of Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
