Dexter loved camping on the Greenbrier River, and hunting and fishing with his family and friends before illness took its toll. Born on December 8, 1950 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Dexter Wilbert Hatcher and Chloie Sue Lilly. He was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tony Rodani and a sister-in-law, Patty (Thompson) Hatcher.
Survivors include his faithful and loving wife of thirteen years, Brenda (Calvert) Loving Hatcher; two daughters, April (Brian) Lilly of Daniels, and Susan (Scott) Barber of Sissionville, WV; two sons, Andrew (Dana) Hatcher of Beckley, and Michael (Emily) Loving of Summersville, WV; three grandchildren, Kirsten Lilly and her companion, CJ Reid of Wheeling, WV, Tyler J. Barber of Sissionville, WV, and Aaron Loving of Summersville, WV; a sister, Susan Rodani of West Sacramento, CA; and a brother, Eddy Hatcher and special friend, Rhonda Anderson of Beaver, WV; a very special nephew, Chris (BJ) Hatcher and Lucas; and many more family and friends.
Dexter was a member of Crow Baptist Church in Crow, WV.
Friends may visit with the family from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Monday evening, June 25, 2018 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Burks officiating. Burial will follow the service in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Honoring Dexter as pallbearers will be BFD retirees.
