My dad married Doris when I was 19. We loved her smiles and goodness to each of us. Sometimes I wondered how she instantly took on such a huge family as ours. She will truly be missed. We love you Doris and are glad that you will have a new body with no more sickness
My favorite memory of Doris is how she would say (weeallll) when you told her a story. That was her signature. 😢❤️❤️❤️❤️

God blessed dad with wonderful woman Doris to share his life with after we lost our mother. I was 26 at the time. She was a meek and humble woman. I never heard her say an unkind word to anyone.
Our family was large and just kept on growing thru the years but we happily gathered in their home for all the holidays and gatherings, and bonding with each other still as the years flew by.
She was loving and caring always! I will miss you Doris😢 💔
Our thoughts and prayers to all the families left behind 💔

I have so many wonderful memories of my Mamaw Doris. My Papa married her when I was around 3 years old, bringing her and her sweet baby girl into our lives. She came into our family as if she had always been there. She accepted all 8 children, multiple grandchildren and great grands as if they were her very own. Most of all, she loved my Pawpaw and he loved her. She was such a hard worker, a giver and had a heart of gold. For many years, I remember her cooking huge meals for all the family to come. They would buy gifts for all the grandbabies at Christmas and have big celebrations. The noise, chaos and messes that came with it never phased her. She had the sweetest smile and most comforting voice. I never once remember her ever raising it nor remember her getting mad. I attribute the long life of my Papaw and his happiness to her. She kept him young until the very end. In the last several years, we didn't get to see her as often as we would have liked, due to miles between us. Yet the moment we would step through the door, it was as if we had been there all along. I will forever cherish all of our times together, the many laughs, the prayers, the limitless love. I have great consolation in knowing that my Papaw now has his love with him and that she is no longer suffering. My heart is so broken, but I look forward to the day we all meet again where there will be no more sickness, pain, separation. Most of all, we will be with Jesus! I'm praying for all of our family, especially Melissa, Randy, Josh and her beloved Kenny who has been by her side the last eleven years, to keep her young. Thank you, Kenny. May God grant us all peace, comfort and strength during this sad time. I love you all

Doris married my Papaw when I was a very young girl. She treated our huge family as her own. We have many fond memories of visits with her and Papaw, often gathered around the kitchen table or sitting outside on the porch. She made Papaw so happy and was so sweet to us. We loved her very dearly and will always hold those memories close to our hearts. We are praying for Melissa, Randy, Josh, Kenny, Helen, and Lesa as well as all of the Frye family.

Doris was dearly loved by her family and her large adoptive Frye family. She married our Dad, Lewis Frye and became irreplaceable...she hosted many dinners, special events, and impromptu visits by Lewis's children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren ❤ She worked alongside Dad in his vast garden! She completed our family and filled a void left by our Mother. She loved all of us equally. We will miss her greatly💔
