Dorothy Cavell Hunt

Dorothy Cavell Hunt, 91, of Beckley, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Walter Thompson and Algie Huffman. Born February 17, 1925 in Summers County, West Virginia. Dorothy was a devoted wife and loving mother. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Phillip Edward Hunt Jr.; sisters, Phyllis White and Libby Thompson; nephew, Donnie Epperly; Niece, Nancy Shrewsbury White; and grandchildren, Angela Dawn and Kristal Dawn Hunt. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Phillip Edward Hunt; Daughter Nancy White and her husband John White; Grandchildren, Camerin Dimmett and husband Kasey, Caitlin Reed and husband Collin, Cayla Van Dunk and husband Jason, Caden Paynter White; Great Granddaughter, River Dimmett; nieces and nephews, Dianna Sturgill, David Epperly, Debra Skomski and husband Jim, Jimmy, Steve and Michael Crutchfield, Annette Abesa, Jimmy parker and wife Sandy, Kaylene Parker Crabb and husband Gary, Sherlene Parker Wilder, and several additional generations of nieces, nephews and family members. In following Dorothy’s wishes, she will be buried at Parklawn Memorial Garden in Hampton, VA. Visitation will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Beckley,WV Monday 6-8PM. Funeral Services will follow at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home in Hampton,VA, Wednesday at 1 pm
