Edward Randolph Ward

Edward Randolph Ward, 74 of Crab Orchard, passed away November 7, 2015. He was the son of the late Edward Ward and Ella Holland. Edward worked as a coal miner and was a proud member of the UMWA. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on projects, watching TV and being with his family especially his grandchildren. He was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, those preceding him in death are daughter, Myra Jane Ward and granddaughters Andrea Erica Mills and Alyssa Grace Mills. Those left to cherish Edward’s memory are sons, Dennis Ward of Beckley, Bobby Tyree and wife Lori of Jacksonville, NC, Billy Tyree and wife Tina of Lester, and Justin Ward of Crab Orchard; daughters, Christy Vance of Mabscott, Susan Mills and husband Michael of Rainelle, Tonia Castle and husband Greg of Shady Spring, Amanda Peaytt and husband Tommy of Naoma and Robin Covey and fiancé Brandon Mahon of Crab Orchard; brother, Charles Ward and wife Tammy of Hotchkiss; sisters, Shelby Keaton and husband Frank of Slab Fork, Glenda Cochran and husband Chester of Beckley, Mary Parson and husband Ike of Crab Orchard and Bessie Keaton and husband Terry of Staunton, VA; 24 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Friends may gather at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. A Celebration of Edward’s life will be conducted on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Keaton officiating.
