I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Ms. Elizabeth Bowling. She was a wonderful person, whose personality and demeanor could light up a room, even on a dull day. I met her as a physician in training and enjoyed her every visit. Doctors and other healthcare workers have fond memories of her time working at BARH. She was so inspirational, never letting any illness get her down or even dampen her mood. She was more than happy to let medical students and other providers be part of her care. She is the epitome of the patient and person you learn the most from. The wisdom she shared taught me the importance of the soft skills it takes to be a physician. She was so kind, happy, and her smile was infectious. Anyone who knew or worked with her had such nice things to say. She was a favorite patient, co-worker, friend, and loved one to many people. I know so many others will be devastated to hear of her passing. She was a true light of happiness in this world. We miss you dearly Miss Bowling, thank you for being part of our lives. the positive impact you had, and for being who you were every day.
