Ella Lilly

Ella Geraldine Matherly Lilly 82, of Beaver went home to be with her Lord, on Saturday November 21, 2015, following a long illness. Born June 3, 1933 in Ellison Ridge she was the daughter of the late Zachariah and Effie Cox Matherly. Ella was devoted to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, and shopping. She was also a member of Victory Baptist Church in Beaver. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving and devoted husband of 67 years James Roy Lilly of Beaver, her 4 sons Leroy Lilly and wife Kay of Chester Va, Vivan Lilly and wife Mary of Eleanor, Jerry Lilly and wife Connie of Grandview, and Keith Lilly and wife Jane of Cool Ridge; her daughter Debbie Wickline and her husband Randy of Daniels. 8 grandchildren: Pam Winn, and Steven Lilly, both of Chester Va., Patricia Cook of Bridgeport, Bridget Bennett of Nashville Tenn, Zachary Lilly of Fairmont, Hannah Lilly of Grandview, Sarah Wickline of Beckley, and Jeremy Wickline of Daniels. 8 great grandchildren, her brother Joseph “Bunt” Matherly and wife Mary of Flat Top, her sister Blanche “Tude” Hurst and her husband Dave of Florida, and a host of nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. Services will be held Tuesday November 24, 2015 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Dr. Rollan Roberts officiating. Following the service Ella will be laid to rest in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Monday evening at the funeral home.
