He was born on January 27, 1950 to Cletus and Dora(Shuck) Shrewsbury.
In his life, he was a Vietnam Veteran and a coal miner. He loved fishing, camping, sports on TV and poker night with family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Susan Shrewsbury and siblings- Little Alice Shrewsbury, Ralph Shrewsbury, Carol Mckinney and Joyce Owens.
Left to cherish his memory are Michele Neely (Rick), Missy Faw (Steven), Mindy Graham (Bill), sister Janice Archie, brother Leon Shrewsbury and lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Special thank you to all who visited, brought food during this difficult time. A special Thank you to the wonderful Hospice nurses who were kind, compassionate and understanding during this difficult chapter in life.

There will be a graveside service for Gary on Thursday, June 26th, 2025 at 1PM at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Scott Lester officiating.
