Jerry was born in Pennsylvania on April 11, 1959 to the late Arnold and Lalla Laird.
Jerry enjoyed playing his guitar, tinkering with small engines, riding motorcycles, being outdoors and being surrounded by family.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a grandson Jonathan Young II and several nieces and nephew.
He is survived by his daughters, Roxanna (Carl) Honaker of Mount Hope, West Virginia and Melisa (Christopher) Wykle of Mount Hope, West Virginia; two brothers, Frank & Rick Laird at which he resided; four sisters, Wanda (Wayne) Ballengee of Shady Spring, West Virginia, Tammy Holliday of West Virginia, Bonnie Laird of Earles, South Carolina and Brenda (Chuck) Huffman of North Carolina; his long time girlfriend, Liza Stude of Beckley, West Virginia; 4 granddaughters; two grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home.
Funeral service will follow at 1:00pm.
