Henry was a “man of character” who was always full of life. He enjoyed his work for many years as a master carpenter. He loved and cherished his wife, Audrey and enjoyed spending time working in his yard and traveling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of over 30 years, Audrey B. Ammons; and four sisters. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Debra Honchell, Cheryl Austin and her husband, Steve, Donna Ammons, Kim Ammons, Danny Hayden and Tina Rahaming and her husband, Norris; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judy and Linda; two brothers, Vernon and his wife, Eva, and Julius and his wife, Janet; sister-in-law, Diana Saulkner and family; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 17, 2021 in the Faith Mausoleum of Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Faith Mausoleum. Burial will follow the service in the Garden of the Last Supper in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
In accordance with the current CDC guidelines, the family and the staff of Blue Ridge Funeral Home ask that those who attend the services wear proper facial coverings and practice social distancing at all times.
