Mrs. Holly D Crookshanks

Holly was born in Ronceverte, WV to Dale and Brenda Crookshanks on February 29, 1976. Holly was raised in “Raise Hell Rainelle” and was a graduate of Greenbrier West High School. Holly served four years in the United States Army as a Private First Class Personnel Specialist. For the last 15 years Holly has worked at the Beckley VA Medical Center, supporting her fellow Veterans.

Holly was preceded in death by her Mother - Brenda Lee LaFon Crookshanks; her brother - “Harry” Dale Crookshanks III; and her father - Harry “Dale” Crookshanks Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her cherished nephew - Brendan Crookshanks, and her Uncle Billy (Mary) LaFon. Holly also leaves behind her chosen family - Kimberly Johnson, Joleen Linville, Mischelle Sizemore, Rhonda Meadows, Trish Tolliver, Miranda Treadway, and special friend - Grant Jones. Holly had a heart of gold, and was always willing to help anyone out; she will be missed by many others whose lives she left a mark on.

Per her wishes, there will be a viewing on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 5-8pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, WV. Following her viewing, her remains will be cremated and spread with her family.

Family invites anyone coming to wear their favorite rock band shirt in Holly’s memory, and would like everyone to join them during the viewing hours to share a meal, tell a story, and reminisce about our dear friend.
