Iona loved music and enjoyed sitting with friends and family on the porch. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Iona had a great sense of humor and was fond of joking and laughing.
Iona was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Ruth Hicks, husband, Larry Welch, and her baby, Larry Lee Welch Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Teresa “Teri” Campbell and husband Ben Campbell, Grandson, Brian Kelly and wife Michelle, grand-daughter, Shannon Hughart and husband Nick, and great-grandchildren, Kazlyn, Ryder, and Izellia Hughart.
The family would like to thank Greystone Senior living community for their care and compassion, as well as Genesis.
Iona will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 2PM.
