Ms. Jacqueline Leigh Porter

Jacqueline “Jackie” Leigh Porter, age 66, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019 in Fayetteville, WV. Born in Beckley, West Virginia on April 8, 1953, she was the daughter of the late James Maurice Porter and Juanita Goins Porter. She is survived by her son, Joel Bennett; her brother, James Porter, and his wife, Marsha; and a nephew of North Carolina.

Jackie would often sing and had a bright sense of humor which she always said came from her father, Maurice. She had many hobbies, loved arts and crafts, and would paint and decorate often.

Although she lived in several states, she spent the majority of her life in southern West Virginia and was able to share many of the experiences she had with her son, Joel, who became the light of her life. Some of her family’s most treasured memories include the summers spent together at the family's summer home that they called “the camp” in Summers County, West Virginia.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 7, 2019 on the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home. The family will gather with friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
