James Austin

Born March 9, 1944 in Josephine, WV. James was a member of Rhodell Church of God. He was a member of the UMWA.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, William (Bill), Thomas, Robert and Edward Vest.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Linda Austin; sons, James Alan and wife Miranda, and Jeffrey Lee and wife Michelle; sisters, Judy Shrewsbury and husband James and Dorothy Hollingshead and husband John; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Austin, Vicki Austin and Margie Vest; grandchildren, Jason, Sierra and husband Marco, David and Dakota; great-grandson, Jeremiah.

Friends may gather with the family Friday, March 3, 2017 from 12-2pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 2pm, Friday, March 3, 2017 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Gary Eskins officiating.

Burial will follow at Slabfork Cemetery with grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers.
