

Mr. Furrow was born July 11, 1930 in Lanark, WV. He was a Trap Hill High School graduate where he played football and graduated from Beckley College and Morris Harvey College. He was a proud Navy Veteran who served in the Korean War. James was a member of Oak Grove Christian Church.
In addition to his parents, those preceding him in death are sons, John D. Furrow and Tommy Furrow; brothers, Kenneth, Jack and Larry Furrow.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years, Ruby Furrow; sons, Jim Furrow of Antioch, TN and Willie Furrow and wife Kim of Largo, Fl, Keith Furrow and wife April of Beckley and Eugene Furrow of Beaver; sister, Wilma Epperly; grandchildren, Karen Beal, Mattie Furrow, Jason Furrow and wife Sarah, D.W. Gwinn, Jordan Furrow, Autumn Osborne and husband David; great-grandchildren, Michael, Zach, Ashton, Rryken, Evelyn and Briar and a host of many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Friends may gather with the family at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 5-7 pm. Services will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 1 pm with Pastor Kelly Gowen officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
