
James “Bobby” “Jim” Peck, 62, of MacArthur, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 29, 2014.
Born June 30, 1952 in Beckley; he was a son of the late William Peck and the late Joan Gravely Peck.
Bobby loved woodworking, gardening, going to flea markets, watching NASCAR, watching his nieces and nephews play sports when his health permitted. But most of all loved going to church. He was a member of the Bolt Fundamental Baptist Church.
Bobby was a disabled coal miner having worked at Affinity, Maben Energy, and the Itmann Mines.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Crum.
Those left to cherish his memory include his brothers and sisters, Alma Rae Pack and husband, David of Crab Orchard, William “Bill” Peck and wife, Sarah of Conyers, GA, Donna Hitchens of Wytheville, VA, Harold Peck of MacArthur, Nancy Peck-Rose and husband, Hubert of Paris, TN, Terri Sutton and husband, Glen of Oak Hill, Tomi Peck-Darlington and husband, Ralph of Beckley, Kim Peck of MacArthur, Mark Peck and wife, Thelma of Princeton, Michael Peck and wife, Mary Grace of MacArthur, and Steve Peck of Beckley; a special niece and caregiver, Bonnie Acord and husband, Danny of Fairdale; several nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and a host of friends.
Services to celebrate the life of James “Bobby” “Jim” Robert Peck will be held 11:00AM Friday, October 3, 2014 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor Jim Lucas officiating. Following the services Bobby will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday at the funeral home.
