I love you so much Unk. I’ll never forget eating raspberries, our drives into town together listening to CD after CD, and our Long John’s trips. I’ll always remember how much you loved taking pictures and watching the birds and deer outside the picture window. 

I am so sorry to hear my Uncle Jim has passed.  When I was a child, he was a fun playmate for me when he would visit on Crow Rd.  I look thru the pictures and am reminded of his fun loving nature.  When he was in Viet Nam, mom and I both wrote to him and I drew him pictures.  I remember he joked my attempted drawing of Bugs Bunny looked like a pregnant rabbit.  Jim was an excellent artist himself and drew many times with me as a child.  Jim was very athletic and I remember him showing me how to use a new pogo stick on Beat Rd.   As I got older, he still was there for me.  Because we drove such unsafe junker cars, he leant me his Ford Bronco to take my drivers test so I could get my license. I could also depend upon him.  In high school, I worked the candy counter at the Medina Theater.  During the week, I usually parked on the street directly in from of it where is was well lit.  At the end of my shift, I walked out to my car and found the tire was completely flat to the rim.  A group of men in a pickup truck were waiting and watching across the street for me to come out.  It didn't look good.  Nobody else was around.  But Uncle Jim lived fairly close, so I got into the car and drove it very slowly on the rim to his house.  The guys stopped following me when I turned into his development.  I knocked on his door and he came out and changed the tire for me.  Never complaining about it, he just commented "these lugs are pretty hot".  That was Jim.

He spoke often on the phone to mom, as she developed Alzheimer's and these conversations gave her great comfort.  He would tell her about what he had just cooked, often stuffed cabbage, something they both loved to eat.  I tried to get mom to go visit, offering to drive her myself, but she became fearful of leaving the house as the disease progressed.  Mom prayed for him and Loretta regularly, right up to her end.  I try to think of him rejoicing in heaven with her now.

In memory of Jim he was a great friend and brother in law. Always had a good word for me. Worked on a few things together over the years,watched alot of movies,played card games. Tried to see who could eat the most quarter pounders with cheese I didn't stand a chance. Going to miss you ole buddy you're in God's hands now.🙏
