Mrs. Joanna Marie Cernuto

Born December 25th, 1950 in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late Richard Leon Vannatter and Bertha Marie Vannatter (Wilson).

Joanna enjoyed cooking, specifically baking and canning. She loved having a garden and growing all the things she canned.

She drove a school bus for Raleigh County, and she loved her job very much.

Her faith led her to volunteer at different churches helping with fishes and loaves.

Joanna was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard (Buddy) Vannatter, Frances (Jenny) Virginia Harmon, and Diane Arthur.; her daughter, Jody Marie Rugel and her grandson, Blake Haven Bane.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Rebecca Leigh Bane and husband Gregory Kenneth Williams, and her 2 grandchildren, Bryan Michael Bane and Serah Kathrine Marie Rugel. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the workers of Mercer Nursing and Rehab for their care and compassion over the years.

In keeping with Joanna’s wishes, there will not be any services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mercer Nursing and Rehab.
