Joanna Winifred Neal

Joanna Winifred Neal, 94, of Fremont, OH and formerly of Hilltop, WV went to be with the Lord on May 21, 2026 in Fremont, OH. She was born on November 6, 1931 in Buffalo, WV the daughter of William E. and Rosa Lee (McGrew) Priddy.

Joanna married Dan Neal in 1967 and he preceded her in death in 1987. She was a longtime member of the Church of God in Hilltop, WV and enjoyed singing with the choir. She missed her neighbors and church family when she moved to Ohio due to an illness.

Joanna is survived by her daughter, Margaret Young, Fremont; daughter-in-law, Melissa Young, Iron Station, NC; grandchildren, Mark (Beverly) Young, Jackie (Edward) Gruenwald, Lisa Thayer, Tommy (Angela) Young and many great and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Priddy and Rosa Lee Craigo; sons, John “Andy” Young and Robert Young; siblings, Kathrine Harmon, William (Jim) Priddy, Ted Priddy, Mida Rutherford, Norma Prowse and Daisey McClean.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 1 to 2 pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C Byrd, Beckley, WV 25801. A funeral ceremony will follow at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens following the service.
