

John “Bo” Henry Adkins, passed away, Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
Born April 25, 1944 in Kanawha County; he was a son of the late Lawrence and Ruby Adkins.
Bo was of the Christian Faith. He served his country proudly in the United States Army for 6 years during the Vietnam War. Bo proudly retired from General Motors following 36 years of dedicated service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Isaac Sharp; sisters, Barb Runyon and Mildred Milam; brother-in-laws, Paul Runyon and Lee Roy Milam, and nephew, Paul David Runyon.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Edith Mae Adkins; a son, John L. Adkins; a daughter, Mary Nemeth; and a sister, Ada Bell Jacobs; two grandsons, John L. Adkins, II and River Isaac Adkins; three great-grandchildren, Darrell, Isaiah, and Dominic.
Services to celebrate the life of John “Bo” Henry Adkins, will be held 2:00PM Monday, February 22, 2021 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley. Following the service Bo will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Military Honors will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard.
Friends may gather with the family from 1:00PM until time of the service Monday at the funeral home.
In keeping with the current CDC guidelines, facial coverings must be worn while in the building and social distancing must be practiced.
