Kathy graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1971. She started her career with Kroger Company in 1972 and retired in 2007. While working at Kroger she met and knew most of the community residents by name.
Kathy was an avid fan of WVU football and basketball finding great joy in watching all their games. In addition, she loved fishing at the river and at Fitzpatrick. She loved Little Debbie cakes and willingly shared them with anyone, especially her brother, Randy. Kathy was deeply rooted in her faith and found peace in the promise of eternal life. For many years she attended Bethel Free Will Baptist Church. She found joy in being a prayer warrior, serving through her kindness, compassion, generosity, and always being ready to lend a helping hand.
She was a devoted daughter- sister, sister-in-law, cherished aunt and friend. She loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. She supported them in all their sporting events and other activities. Her loyalty to family members and friends was unwavering.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, her sister Debbie Boggs, her brothers James, David and Jerry Wooten, and nephews David and Randy Boggs. She will be sorely missed by her sister, Karen Morris (Roger) of Anchorage, AK, brother Randy (Patty) of St. Augustine, FL, longtime and dear friend Sue Dixon of Crab Orchard, and many nieces and nephews.
