Mr. Larry Lucas

Larry Keith Lucas, 56, of Beaver WV gained his wings on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. Born on May 21, 1960 Larry was the son of the late John “Buster” Lucas and Evelyn Lucas. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Richard Lucas, and Leon Lucas and a niece Andrea Aliff Stone. Larry enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and loved to go fishing, but most of all spending time with family and friends. Larry served as an elder at Oak Grove Christian Church. Larry loved God with his whole heart. He lived a life as a strong Christian man. His prayers and teachings were an encouragement to others. He was a friend who would listen, give solid advice and somehow brighten everyone’s day. Larry was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 32 years Maxine Lucas; Son John and wife Barbara Lucas, granddaughters; Mya, Shyanne Lucas, Bryonnia, one sister Rosa and her husband Glen Meadows. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27th from 6-9PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home-5251 Robert C. Byrd Drive Beckley, WV. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, December 28th at 11AM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastors Russ Jordan and John Wittmann officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery. Blue Ridge Funeral Home is serving the family and in lieu of flowers the family would like any donations be made to Bowers Hospice House of Beckley or Oak Grove Christian Church.
