

Lina was born April 22, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Bill and Maggie Hall McDaniels.
Mrs. Hamilton and her late Husband Meek Hamilton pastored Jesus Way Maben Church close to 40 years. Lina will always be remembered the most by her anointed singing. She blessed thousands of lives with her singing ministry.
Proverbs 31:10 says, Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. Lina was that virtuous woman. For those of you who were blessed by her singing I am sure you can hear her anointed voice sing “As I cross that river, it will be worth it all to me”. You can hear her say “Rejoice, Rejoice, don’t cry over me”, “for I am rejoicing with my heavenly Father”.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Meek Hamilton, her brothers Ralph McDaniels; sisters, Betty Jo Trader, Yvonne Hulvey, Annie Faren, Connie Williams, Ola Mae Garfery, and Fannie Acord.
Survivors include her daughter, Catherine Jones and her Husband Steven Jones of Lewisburg, WV; Son, James Hamilton and his wife Debbie Hamilton of Maben, WV. Her grandchildren: Jennifer Patton, Grant Jones, Stephen Jones, and Amber Large. Her Great-grandchildren: Nethaniel Patton, Zacheriah Patton, Gabriel Patton, Jordan Jones, Emily Jones, and Maelynn Jones. She is also survived by her sisters, Rose Burris of Cambridge, OH and Mary Francis McDaniels of Kentucky; her Nephews, Steve Acord, Terry Acord, and Billy Acord.
A private celebration of Lina’s life will be held at the Blue Ridge Mausoleum for immediate family members on Wednesday, August 12, at 11:30 am. Steven Jones, Steve Acord, and Junior Cook will be officiating the celebration. Burial service will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
