Lou-Ella Rowe Lively McKendree

Born on January 4, 1941, in Slab Fork; she was a daughter of the late Ira Earl Rowe and the late Mary Estelle Martin Rowe.

Lou-Ella taught Sunday School for many years, and loved spending time with her family and church family. Her faith was a very important pillar to her. She was a member of the Beckley Church of God, and attended there until her health would not permit her to.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas D. Lively, Sr. and Bobby McKendree, and her sister, Dixie Rowe.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving son, Thomas D. Lively, Jr and wife, Barbara of Princewick; grandchildren, Erica Byrd and husband, Josh of Beckley and Tyler Lively and wife, Holly of Glen Morgan; two great-grandchildren who were very special to her, Logan and Lauren Byrd of Beckley; and a sister, Shirley Jones of Burlington, NC.

A service to celebrate the life of Lou-Ella Rowe Lively McKendree will be held 2:00PM Friday, January 30, 2026 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Bishop Roger Lafferty officiating. Following the services Lou-Ella will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may gather with the family from 1:00PM until time of the service Friday, January 30, 2026 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Lou-Ella's honor to the Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley WV 25801.
