Margie A Stone

Margie A. Stone, 90 years of age, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Princeton Health Care in Princeton, WV. Born on December 1, 1927 in Boone County, WV, she was the daughter of then late Cuthbert Ancel Gunnoe and Clara May Dolin Gunnoe.

Margie married her dearly beloved husband, Carl Stone, in Charleston, and they immediately set up a decades-long residence in Los Angeles, CA, where they reared their children, Carol Sue, Gene Wesley and Sandra Dee as well as successfully beginning and operating Stone Termite and Pest Control in San Fernando Valley. After they sold the company they settled in Beckley where Carl predeceased her in 1996.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl George Stone; daughter, Sandra Beckett Stone; sisters, Chloe Gates and Louise Reeves; and brothers, Arthur “Bud” Gunnoe, Charles Gunnoe, Lou Gunnoe and Clarence Gunnoe.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Sanboeuf; son, Gene Stone; grandchildren, Wendie Alderman, Sam Houston, Kim George, Adam Sandboeuf, Noah Sandboeuf, Carl Gilliard, Josie Devine, Andy Stone and Kenny McNick; great-granddaughter, Jazmyne Alderman; many other great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother; Richard Gunnoe of Largo, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
