Martin.
Marilyn was a 2 time prom queen and spent her life as a Medical Transcriptionist.
In her free time, she enjoyed her passions for yard selling, going to Goodwill, working with her plants, and
playing with her dogs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brendan McCarty; and a
brother-in-law, John Potter.
Those left to cherish her memory include 2 children, Nicholas McCarty II and Liam McCarty; a
brother, Carl Martin Jr.; sisters, Pamela Suhrer and Deborah Potter; grandchildren, Jasmine
McCarty, Katie McCarty, Donna Jacobus, Gabriel McCarty, Taylor McCarty, Kirsten McCarty,
Malachi McCarty, Abigail McCarty, Owen McCarty, Caitlyn Willett, and Christina Tilley; a ex-husband,
Nicholas McCarty; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Marilyn on Sunday, August 25th, 2024 at 4PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
