

Mary Euline Edmonds, 89, of Fayetteville, slipped peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, November 7, 2016 just six days shy of her 90th birthday. Mary was the fourth of twelve children born to the late Lowe Woolwine and the late Chessie Woolwine Ellison (James) of Mt. Hope. Mary was an active woman; she worked in a variety of trades, including her time as an infamous house painter in Culpeper, VA. Mary loved the color red; she made her own clothing, loved gardening, canning, crocheting, making dolls and dresses, and cooking for her family. Mary loved family and friends visiting, having everyone together and especially celebrating her birthday. Sometimes stubborn and determined she outlasted most of her friends and was even known for throwing her own birthday party. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her 1st husband John Pack and her 2nd husband Willie Edmonds; a daughter, Peggy Pack; four brothers, Eugene Woolwine, Junior Woolwine, Lloyd Ellison, and James David Ellison; one sister Virginia Coleman; and her best friend, Mabel Howell. Those left to cherish her memory include four daughters, her caregiver and guardian angel, Margaret Brooks and her late husband Jimmy, Donna Hatcher and her husband Pete, Loretta Kilby and Jackie Webb; two sons, Johnny Pack and his wife Brenda, and Sammy Pack and his wife Brenda; Mary has 23 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Lee Roy Ellison and his wife Bobbie, Jerry Ellison and his wife Charlotte, Mack Ellison and his wife Dorothy, and George Ellison and friend Terri; two sisters, Ruby Riley and her husband Dave, and Barbara Davis and her late husband Bill; numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends Barbara Prunest, Ralph and Gloria Castle. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bowers Hospice House for the loving care given to Mary. The family will greet friends to share memories from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Friday, November 11, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, November 12, 2016 with Pastor Roger Pauley officiating. A Graveside Service will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
