Mary Virginia Mills

Mary Virginia Mills, age 87, of Sophia, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Hidden Valley Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born on August 31, 1933 in Wyco, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Smith and Martha Jane Milam.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Olin Mills; her granddaughter, Nicole Boley Friedl; and her son-in-law, Randy Gwinn.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Janet Lilly, Joyce Gwinn; and Rodney Mills and his wife, Gayle; grandchildren, Laurel Wallace, Nick Gwinn, Syndi Poland, Samuel Mills and Isaac Mills; and her brother, Clifford Smith and his wife, Mary Raye Smith.

Mrs. Mills loved and cherished babies, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm, Sunday, December 27, 2020 in the Tower Garden of Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Carmel Perdue officiating.

In accordance with the current CDC guidelines, the family and the staff of Blue Ridge Funeral Home ask that those who attend the services wear proper facial coverings at all times.
