Ms. Mary R. Minnick

Mary was born June 28, 1928 in Farley Hill (Winding Gulf, WV) to the late James and Ethel Basham Duff.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed caring for her pet birds. While the majority of her life was spent in her beloved WV, she moved to Illinois in 2006 to be closer to family in Lake Villa, IL, she made new friends and spent her time socializing with them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Minnick; her son, Robert Minnick Jr, grandson, Josh Minnick; granddaughter, Cindy Lester; and brothers, Randy Duff, Robert Duff, Roosevelt Duff, Daniel Duff, Elyhue Duff, and Frank Duff.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Charlotte Massey and husband, Bob of Round Lake, IL, Dale Minnick of New Port Richey, FL; and Larry Minnick and wife, Kay of Lake Villa, IL; grandchildren, Deanna, Brian, Lynn, Thomas, Robert Joe, Doug, and Sabrina; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Reed of Pemberton, Violet Marshall of Laurel, MD and Ruth Thomas of Beckley; brothers, John Duff of Jackson, TN, Kenneth Duff of Lorton, VA and Clifton Duff of Glen Morgan; numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Shirlene Minnick of Michigan; and many beloved friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Mary Roszella Minnick will be held 1:00PM Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Beckley. Mary will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.

Friends may gather with the family from 11:00AM until time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
