Mary was a devout Christian that enjoyed attending church and raising a house full of children. During her free time she quilted, loved fishing, dancing, flowers and travelling, where she earned the nickname “Hubcap” for always being ready to go anywhere.
She will be reunited with her parents, her husband Orvel Perdue, children, Don Perdue, Joyce Turner, Henry Perdue, David Perdue, Billy Perdue, 6 grandchildren, and 7 siblings.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters; Delores Norris, Frances Burke, sons; Emory Perdue (Pat), Stephen Perdue (Kathy), Lester Perdue (Carolyn), Paul Perdue (Norma), 127 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home from 6PM – 8PM. Services will be held the following day at Blue Ridge Funeral Home at 11 AM with Pastor Ernie Watkins officiating. Following the service Mary will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge memorial Gardens.
